Customer Background
The customer is a leading online travel service provider with operations spanning multiple countries and regions worldwide. It offers a full range of services, including flight and hotel bookings, vacation packages, consultations, and after-sales support. With branch offices in multiple countries around the world, the company focuses on delivering localized services in each market and its surrounding regions. As the business expanded rapidly, managing network security on a global scale became a critical bottleneck hindering further growth.

Challenges Faced
The customer’s global branches had long relied solely on firewall blacklists and whitelists for internet access control. In complex network environments and with diverse employee behaviors, this approach proved inadequate, making it difficult to enforce consistent global management standards and posing significant risks to both security and operational efficiency.
The existing security model failed to meet ISO 27001 requirements for strictly controlling access to malicious websites and unauthorized resources, leaving growing potential vulnerabilities. With users distributed across multiple countries and the primary IT team based in China—lacking dedicated overseas technical staff—the customer needed a solution that could be deployed quickly. Additional complexities arose from traffic routing through multiple international vendors and the requirement for seamless log integration with existing analytics systems, further increasing deployment difficulty and time pressure.
Solution
Solution Overview
CBC Tech delivered a comprehensive Zscaler solution, enabling the customer to rapidly deploy unified internet behavior management and security controls globally. The core components—Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Digital Experience (ZDX)—were designed to enhance network access security, streamline management processes, reduce risk, and improve operational efficiency globally.
Key Technologies and Strategies
Built on a SASE architecture and leveraging an extensive partner ecosystem, the solution delivered fully managed services with rapid response capabilities. ZIA, a zero-trust cloud security solution, enforced network access controls based on identity verification and authorization, eliminating reliance on traditional perimeter defenses while effectively detecting and blocking access to malicious websites and unauthorized resources. ZDX provided end-to-end digital experience monitoring with insights into application, network, and device health, enabling centralized management and log sharing through its cloud platform for seamless integration with the customer’s existing analytics systems.

Implementation Process
As the first Zscaler Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) and Delivery Service Authorized Partner (DSA) in Greater China, and having achieved Zscaler Data Security Sales Certification, CBC Tech has earned over 200 Zscaler technical and sales certifications. The company has successfully deployed advanced network and security solutions for numerous enterprise customers across industries.
During implementation, the CBC Tech team worked closely with the customer’s China-based IT headquarters. The process began with detailed communication planning, requirements gathering, and technical design. A phased rollout strategy was adopted—starting with pilot validation in select regions before expanding to more than 2,500 employees across Thailand, South Korea, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, and the United Kingdom. CBC Tech handled primary implementation responsibilities, providing fully managed services and Chinese-language Help Desk support to ensure seamless coordination and zero-downtime delivery. With an emphasis on rapid response and real-time adjustments, the entire deployment was completed in just three months.
Customer Benefits
With CBC Tech’s integrated Zscaler solution, the customer achieved precise, identity-based network access controls, moving beyond the limitations of traditional perimeter defenses. This effectively blocked malicious and unauthorized access while fully complying with ISO 27001 and other international security standards.
Centralized management enabled unified configuration and real-time monitoring of internet activity across all global branches, achieving consistent standards worldwide. ZDX’s performance monitoring and AI-driven insights significantly improved the end-user digital experience. Round-the-clock responsiveness, zero-downtime delivery, and efficient Chinese-language support further boosted operational efficiency and substantially reduced security risks.
Customer IT Leader: “CBC Tech’s solution not only delivered unified global internet management standards but also greatly enhanced our overall network security. We were able to go live quickly without an overseas technical team—truly addressing our core pain points. The Chinese-language Help Desk support ensured smooth communication and an efficient deployment process.”
Summary and Outlook
Through its partnership with CBC Tech, the customer successfully overcame global network management bottlenecks and achieved standardized, compliant operations.
As the business continues to expand into additional regions, the customer plans to further advance its digital transformation. With a robust security foundation now in place, it is well positioned to maintain its leadership in the travel industry and continue delivering safer, more efficient services to users worldwide. As Zscaler’s strategic partner in Greater China, CBC Tech will continue to provide professional managed services to help more enterprises achieve zero-trust security transformation.
