In a recent interview Q & A session with CQG, Shane Pielli, System Architect, shared his experience working with CBC.

Q1. Could you kindly share an overview of CQG as an organisation, your role and responsibilities within CQG?

A1: CQG is a technology provider for financial markets, offering integrated trade routing, global market data, and advanced technical analysis tools. We provide trading access to 45+ exchanges through a global network of hosted exchange gateways, and our market data feed consolidates data from 75+ sources. I am a system architect for our CQG Gateway order routing system.


Q2. What are some of the network infrastructure challenges faced in China before partnering with CBC Tech?

A2. We had clients inside China accessing servers outside China over the public internet, which was not always reliable. As we expanded and located servers inside China, we had to navigate the unique regulatory environment, in addition to arranging the usual international circuits.


Q3. Why did CQG choose CBC Tech as your network infrastructure service provider in China?

A3. CBC Tech offered a cost-effective and reliable initial solution for our existing clients, so they were a natural choice as we expanded in the market.


Q4. Could you please kindly share the value and benefits gained by CQG partnering with CBC Tech?

A4. In addition to the actual services which enable us to meet our customer needs, CBC Tech has provided us ongoing support from their highly responsive teams in both Singapore and China.


Q5. Would you be able to share the customer experience journey that you had so far with CBC Tech team?

A5. Our initial relationship with CBC Tech started shortly after they opened an office in Singapore. We were looking for a vendor to solve a problem, but they quickly became a trusted partner. The sales and technical teams have worked with us closely to ensure smooth deployment of solutions and ongoing stable operations.

Q6. Looking into the crystal ball, what would your vision and expectations on the business partnership with CBC Tech in supporting your business?A6. Our relationship with CBC Tech has helped us serve our clients in China well, and I anticipate continued growth in this market. I expect that CBC will remain a key partner for CQG.
