The Global Energy Leader’s Network Leap: CBC Tech’s SD-WAN Solution Reshapes Multinational Business Connectivity

——Efficient Networking, Secure Transmission, and Intelligent Operations Empower Global Integration for Energy Enterprises

Challenges of Globalization in the Energy Sector

As a national leader in China’s energy sector, this client is responsible for the investment, construction, and operation of overseas energy projects, covering more than ten countries and regions, with a workforce of over a thousand employees. Amid the wave of digital transformation, the company urgently needs to overcome three major bottlenecks: low efficiency in multinational business collaboration, poor network stability, and slow operational response. This is essential for achieving efficient real-time data exchange between global sites and the headquarters in China.

The client requires the establishment of an SD-WAN network connecting eight global branches to the headquarters. This network must support high-speed access to internal systems such as OA, finance, and legal, while also handling industrial monitoring video and high-definition conference transmissions. Real-time data transmission must meet enterprise-level security standards with low latency and zero packet loss, while addressing the operational challenges posed by decentralized sites lacking local IT teams, enabling lightweight unified management. However, deploying dedicated overseas lines faces challenges such as long construction cycles and costs that far exceed the budget. If an internet-based network is used, the high packet loss rate in multinational public networks would lead to frequent interruptions in video conferences. Compounding the issue, fault resolution requires coordination with local operators in multiple countries, resulting in delayed responses that severely hinder business continuity.

Solution: CBC eNet Connect Reshapes the Global Network Architecture

After thoroughly understanding the client’s needs, the CBC Tech team actively communicated with the client to clarify specific requirements and challenges, providing a corresponding solution based on CBC eNet Connect.

  • Intelligent Networking Architecture: By establishing encrypted direct connection tunnels between the headquarters and the eight branches through a network of nodes covering core global regions, transmission latency is reduced to under 50 ms, and packet loss is decreased to below 0.1%. The headquarters employs a dual-device redundancy design, allowing for automatic switching in the event of a single node failure, ensuring business continuity.
  • Visualized Intelligent Operations: The CBC eNet Portal integrates global PoPs topology monitoring, traffic scheduling, and policy configuration, enabling the client to perform daily operations independently. The modular architecture supports “plug-and-play” for new branches, requiring no changes to headquarters configurations.
  • End-to-End Efficient Delivery: The technical team customizes link scheduling strategies based on business traffic models, prioritizing bandwidth for office systems, video, and monitoring data. In response to the challenges posed by decentralized sites and a shortage of local IT resources, CBC Tech coordinated multiple resources to complete equipment transportation and installation, reducing the construction period by 60%.

Customer Benefits: Triple Leap in Efficiency, Cost, and Experience

Network performance has achieved a qualitative leap, with significant reductions in packet loss and latency for multinational access. Industrial monitoring videos are transmitted smoothly, and international meetings are free from interruptions.

Networking efficiency has improved, and overall costs have been significantly reduced. The unified management platform has shortened fault response time from 3-5 days to under 2 hours. The 24/7 remote operation and maintenance service provided by CBC Tech allows the client’s IT team to focus on core business innovation.

“CBC Tech’s SD-WAN solution not only solved our networking challenges but also reshaped our network governance model. Its one-stop delivery capability and intelligent operations platform enable our globally dispersed teams to collaborate as if they were in the same office!” — IT Head of the Client

Looking Ahead: Building a New Generation of Global Network Service Ecosystem

The successful implementation of this project has not only enhanced the client’s business continuity and data security in overseas markets but has also established a closer cooperative relationship between CBC Tech and the client. This foundation of trust and collaboration will open new avenues for larger-scale project cooperation in the future.

CBC Tech will continue to deepen the integration of SD-WAN and SASE solutions, combining zero-trust security architecture to create a secure, compliant, flexible, and easy-to-manage global network service for enterprises venturing abroad, helping companies seamlessly connect with the world.
